Warm Knits, Cool Gifts

we are soooo excited to announce that our own knitting instructor/knitwear designer and all around amazing lady, Caddy Ledbetter, is now a two time published author!

To celebrate the launch of her new book, written with her equally fabulous mom, Sally Melville, we are having a morning Book Signing this Sunday December 12th at our big sister store, Flock Boutique!

Join Caddy, Sally and the ladies of both Workshop and Flock Boutique from 10am to Noon. Come and meet the authors and have your copy of the book signed while nibbling on delicious brunch canapés and breakfast cocktails!

We will also have copies of the book for sale so you can have buy your own copy of Warm Knits, Cool Gifts to put it under the tree.

We hope you can join us!

Christmas Ornament Silent Auction!

Baby Ornaments!

Preschooler Ornaments!

Now that our Hallowe’en costumes are packed away, visions of good deeds and unique Christmas ornaments are dancing through our heads.

We’re excited to announce our first-ever silent auction with proceeds going to support the Dalhousie Parents’ Daycare in central Ottawa.

Our fabulous designers, local artists, and Workshop staff are generously donating handmade, one-of-a-kind ornaments to the cause and for that, we are so grateful. A warm Workshop thank-you goes out to:

Adding to our stash of gorgeous ornaments is our crew of designers-to-be. Yes, the little ones from the Dalhousie Parents’ Daycare made ornaments too and we just can’t get over how cute they are!

Next week, we will be hanging the ornaments in the shop window so you can check out the amazing creations for yourself. The silent auction will go throughout November and will end a couple of weeks before Christmas so successful bidders can trim their trees in time for St. Nick’s arrival.

As a special treat for our blog readers, we’ll post photos of the ornaments online so you can check them out before you come down to bid on your favourites!

Ps: While visiting Workshop for your holiday shopping, check out the cookbooks that the Dalhousie Parents’ Daycare put together…they’re a steal at $5 and they’re available at the cash.
